Ski-In/Ski-Out and Now Ski-Through Service.

While I often cringe at how Starbucks has taken over America, I have to say, this simple idea is brilliant – a ski-through Starbucks on the slopes of Squaw Valley.

As a skier that is always cold and need of a quick hot chocolate or coffee but hates the rigmarole of getting in/out of ski’s and all, I can now simply ski-up to the service window, order my beverage and be on my way.  Without the hassle of getting out of my ski’s and then traipsing all the way inside, only then having to traipse back outside again.

Being at the right place at the right time is pretty simple, makes me wonder why it took so long for this to happen.  Regardless, it is a GWH W.T.F.* (Winner, Toss-Up or Flop) winner.  Sure hope it catches on at more ski resorts across the country.
