Hyatt Hotels recently unveiled their new kids menu, available at all their full-service properties in North America. Gone are the cheesy fries and greasy hamburgers. The new menu, For Kids by Kids, features natural beef, sustainable seafood, fresh fruits, veggies and other items all low in fat, sodium and calories.
The menu doesn’t just feature healthy food though, it also gives kids more sophisticated offerings (so no animal shaped chicken nuggets as cute as they may be) and, it also gives kids a chance to interact with the menu and meal. They can make or assemble their own tacos at their dinner table and they can even use smart phones to snap a QR code that takes them to fun info and games related to healthy eating.
For Kids by Kids is a home run all around. The menu items were tested by the very audience it is intended for – kids – so it has street cred with the audience and, it makes it easy and fun to eat healthy foods. Kids that grow up with healthy eating habits are much more likely to maintain those habits for life. Thanks Hyatt for a GWH W.T.F. (Winner, Toss-Up, or Flop) Winner!
