Surprised it took so long for someone else to try to replicate M&M’s wild success with personalized food products. Guess better late than never is true. Came across an ad in People magazine for Goldfish My Way, the latest way to get personalized snacks — choose your occasion, your colors, bag or snack cups, add a photo, wait 2 weeks and there you have it. Seems these have been out for a little while, but making a pretty big splash for summer party season it appears.
Such a simple idea. So real people-focused. So “How can my brand do something more for you, my Dear Customer? How can I change in a new way to delight you?” It’s a GWH WTF (Winner Toss-Up or Flop) Award WINNER to me — even if it isn’t original. This time, imitation was indeed a sincere form of flattery.
