Branding with a connection! While I am connected and nostalgic about the John Corbett “voice” of Walgreens from both *Northern Exposure* and *Sex in the City,* and do like the playfulness of their “At the corner of…” campaign, it was this most recent “Get a Shot. Give a Shotâ„¢” ad that finally got me to feel something about Walgreens!

I can get a flu shot anywhere. CVS will even give me coupons when I do. But Walgreens tugged at something deeper for me… if I get my shot there, they will provide a flu shot to a child in a developing nation. Complete with red branded band-aids, the ad grabbed my attention and held on.

Now that’s what branding is about. ’nuff said.
